Without doubt, the tapas route is one of the main activities of the Frigiliana Festival of 3 Cultures. The idea is simple, wander through the streets of Frigiliana and for 1.50€ enjoy a tradition that is so typical of our culture, having a tapa with friends. The price includes a drink too, each participating bar will then stamp your route card so you can claim your commemorative festival t-shirt.

The route is not a competition but certainly each year more and more people complete it. As it is, in 2010 more than 1,100 people completed the route meaning tens of thousands of tapas are served throughout the festival.
The route is informal, normally the bars are set up in the street for this purpose while theatre groups and belly dancers perform in the streets around us and the PA system takes us back centuries to the music of the past.

ROUTE 2.011
In this sixth year of the tapas route, because of the large number of participating establishments, we have moved forward and created two routes, The Moorish Route and The Mudejar Route, each of them composed of nine bars with their unique tapas, each route takes visitors through the streets of Frigiliana, from one end of the village to the other.

The information tent, situated in the 3 cultures market place will give you the form with the route map and the space for each of the bars to put their stamps, but if you want you can download it here

GASTRONOMY
Gastronomy Days  During the Festival there are many more ways to enjoy food than the tapas route. In addition to the dozens of outlets for eating, both in the 3 Cultures market place, and in the restaurants of Frigiliana, which may offer a more local and indigenous range, within the programme of the Festival are the Gastronomy Days.
image_gastronomia These days aim to bring to the public at large menus that are not usually available in the restaurants, and once again have the 3 Cultures as a theme.

Several restaurants in the village have a special menu available during the days of the festival at an affordable price.
