This year, la casa del Apero will host a presentation by Hasim Cabrera, an artist who has spent more than three decades working in different areas and disciplines. A painter and a writer, he has ventured into the majority of the tecniques of the visual arts, not as an end in themselves but as means to address various problems of enormous complexity and contemporaneity. Paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations that in many cases, especially in the 1990's, make up a wide range with a clear commitment to bringing together different disciplines. All of his artistic production has been accompanied by a textual work, essays in some cases, literary or educational in others, which complements and in some cases even supports the concepts of the visual production. He has also written numerous essays on art work, spirituality, society and politics, participating in seminars and meetings and has extensive experience as a lecturer. |
| Under the title of Albaida, Hasim exhibited in Frigiliana a sample of his work on canvas, which can be enjoyed in the Casa del Apero every day during the festival from 10:00 to 23:00. |
