Aziza Brahim Maichan is a Saharan singer and percussionist born in the refugee camps of Hammada in Tinduf, Algeria.
Apart from interpreting his own compositions, Aziza Brahim’s intention is to put music to the poems from his grandmother, Ljadra Mint Mabruk, known as the rifle poet.
This way he can pay tribute and claim his voice as one of the essential cultural poets of his country. |

Ensemble vocal group of minstels, soprano, tenor and bass trained for this programme. On one side there is the cornet, sackbut soprano, tenor and bass, whilst on the other side there is an organ.
This concert is like a descriptive journey using original instruments depending on the era, Christian music from the XV and XVII centuries both in Spain and Europe. |
